Metrotvnes.com, Jakarta: National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti affirmed his party is still processing the legal enforcement for Tolikara case, Papua, on July 17. The police are still examining several witnesses considered to be involved in this case.
"Yesterday, there were some we called for questioning, four priests summoned for examination," said Badrodin at the National Police Chief, South Jakarta, Friday (7/31/2015).
However, the four religious figures did not fulfill the summoning. The police plans to reschedule the questioning of the four. "Most likely we would conduct examinations on Monday," he added.
Moreover, the Police Chief also ordered Papua Police Chief Brigadier General Paulus Waterpau to resolve the case.
However, the police should apply the approach accepted by the community, especially in communicating with the churches, traditional leaders, local government and the NGOs in the region. (EPS)
