medcom.id, Jakarta: Aburizal Bakrie and Agung Laksono has agreed for reconciliation. Golkar plans to hold congress in mid-2016.

The agreement was made after Aburizal and Agung met with Vice President Jusuf Kalla on Wednesday (3/2/2016). The meeting ended conflict between them that has been started since 2014.

Ministry of Law and Human Rights recently legalized Golkar's leadership based on 2009 Golkar National Congress in Riau where Aburizal is the chairman while Agung is deputy chairman.

"We will hold discussion for consolidation," said Aburizal after the meeting.

Aburizal mentioned congress might be held in April or May.

Meanwhile, Agung said the congress is intended to build unity after years of conflict in the party. "We will follow decision from Ministry of Law and Human Rights," he underlined.
