medcom.id, Jakarta: A political observer from the Indonesian Science Institute (LIPI) Syamsuddin Haris mentioned that the recommendation of Pelindo special task force is political.
He mentioned that the member of the task force team from the coalitions of the government supporters and the Red and White Coalition (KMP) is after the Minister of State Owned Companies position.
According to Syamsuddin, Rini is a disliked minister since the beginning. "There are orders from the political party. We are aware that the PDI-P since the beginning does not like the figure in the cabinet," mentioned Haris in the Bincang Pagi Metro TV talk show, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/23/2015).
Syamsuddin felt weird that the task force had recommended President Joko Widodo to sack the Minister of State Owned Companies. He considered the recommendation of Pelindo Special Task Force is general and not binding.
"For example for State Owned Companies management, it does not refer to the personal figure," he added.
He suspected that the PDI-P is after Minister Rini's position. The position, he continued, may become the financial source for the political party, as there are more than 100 companies headed by the Ministry of the State Owned Company.
The Special Task Force Pelindo II recommended President Jokowi to fire the Minister of State Owned Companies Rini Soemarno. Rini was assessed of deliberately allowing the Director of PT Pelindo II R.J. Lino, who was allegedly corrupt and initiated the contract failure on the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT).
