Convict's Lawyer Says Executions to be Held Saturday

medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian lawyer, Farhat Abbas, revealed the third round of executions will be held on Saturday (7/30) night. He is lawyer for Senegalese drug convict, Seck Osmane.
 
"I received information the executions will be held on Saturday night," he told reporters here, on Tuesday (7/26/2016).
 
Farhat received notification from the Attorney General's Office (AGO) today. According to him, his client has been moved to isolation room at Batu prison, Nusakambangan island, Cilacap, Central Java.

Farhat plans to request pardon to President Joko Widodo. He argued his client can request clemency multiple times.
 
"Constitutional Court has decided presidential prerogative cannot be limited," he claimed.

Attorney General's Office (AGO) spokeserson Muhammad Rum mentioned that his agency is entering final preparation for the executions. The agency has moved the convicts to isolation rooms. It also has notified foreign embassies whose citizens are facing executions.
 
"This is the final preparation," stated Rum.
