medcom.id, Jakarta: The House of Representatives approved the nomination of Comr. Gen. Budi gunawan as State Intelligence Agency (BIN) chief in a plenary meeting on Thursday, September 8, 2016.
Commission I chief Abdul Kharis Almasyari reported Budi Gunawan's fit and proper test yesterday.
"Budi Gunawan is fit and proper person," Kharis said in the plenary meeting,
House deputy speaker Taufik Kurniawan then asked the House members. Nobody rejected the nomination.
"Can we approve the fit and proper test result?" Taufik asked.
Separately, House deputy speaker Fahri Hamzah said they will deliver the test result to President Joko Widodo this afternoon. "Budi Gunawan can be inaugurated tomorrow," he stated.
