LB Ciputri Hutabarat • 15 November 2015 15:15
medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian government is urged to stay alert following the incident occurring in Paris, Friday evening local time. Former Military Commander in Chief, General (Ret) Moeldoko mentioned the attack in Paris shoul be a trigger for Indonesia to maintain a tight defense line.

"The point is that it can't be all loosen up (the defense)," said Moeldoko after the anniversary of Pemuda Pancasila in Borobudur Hotel, Central Jakarta, Saturday (11/14/2015).

Alertness, mentioned Moeldoko, is not only for the government. It also belongs to the public as well.

"Don't only count on the Military and Police. All Indonesian citizens must be aware that the threats are among us," he mentioned.

Moeldoko also mentioned that similar threats happening in Paris may also occur in Indonesia. But he assessed that Indonesia is still in a safe place of the attack claimed to be conducted by ISIS.

"If we see, hopefully not yet. As long as all Indonesians have high alertness. Don't give it all to the officials," he explained.
