medcom.id, Jakarta: The trial of the blasphemy case of Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama will be conducted at the Agriculture Ministry building in Ragunan area.
Previously, the trial was conducted at the former Central Jakarta District Court building in Gajah Mada area.
"The venue can accommodate more people," Supreme Court spokesman Ridwan Mansyur told Metrotvnews on Friday (12/23).
"It also can provide better security," he continued.
The trial will resume on Tuesday (12/27). The judges will decide whether the case should proceed.
Several Muslim groups reported the Jakarta governor last October after he made a comment about a verse in the holy Koran.
