Security in Nusakambangan Tightened

medcom.id, Jakarta: Authorities have tigthened security in Nusakambangan island, Cilacap, Central Java prior to the third round of executions which reportedly will be held in the near future.
 
According to information gathered by Metrotvnews.com, authorities are restricting access to the island from Monday (7/25) to Thursday (7/28). Only prison guards and security officers allowed to enter the island.
 
Indonesian drug convict, Merry Utami, was moved to Besi prison in the island on Sunday (7/24). She is currently placed at an isolation room.

Attorney General M Prasetyo has repeatedly mentioned that the third round of executions will be conducted after Lebaran holiday this year. However, he refused to reveal the exact date.
 
National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian has prepared shooting squads for the executions. The squads have been deployed to Nusakambangan.
