Firing Squads, Medical Team Prepared Ahead of Executions

medcom.id, Jakarta: Central Java Police is prepared for the third batch of executions in Nusakambangan Prison, Cilacap, Central Java.
 
"For the execution, we are ready at anytime," said Central Java Police's operation bureau chief Sen. Comr. Tatang to Metrotvnews.com, Monday (5/2/2016).
 
Central Java Police will provide firing squads for the executions. "one firing squad consist of 14 personnel, 12 shooters and two commanders," he continued.
 
Aside from that, Central Java Police has also prepared medical team to examine the inmates, as well as clergies such as an ulema and a priest.
 
Tatang said that on Thursday, April 28, Central Java Police Insp. Gen. Condro Kirono visited Nusakambangan. He checked the preparation of the third batch of executions.
 
"The police chief went there to see the situation. We do not know when is the executions," he concluded.
 
Currently, There are 59 death row convicts. The government executed 14 convicts last year.
