Jokowi Attends Dec 2 Rally

medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla visited the December 2 rally at the National Monument.
 
The two leaders arrived before Friday prayer. They walked  from the Presidential Palace to the National Monument. 
 
Several ministers accompanied the two leaders including Coordinating Minister for Legal, Political and Security Affairs Wiranto and Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin.

Muslim conservatives began the rally this morning. They started with Quran recitation.
 
"We will greet the world," National Movement to Safeguard the Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council (GNPF-MUI) chairman Bachtiar Nasir said on Friday (12/2).
 
Several Muslim organization leaders joined the rally including Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) chairman Rizieq Shihab.
