medcom.id, Batam: The Riau Islands Police is hunting the crew of the boat that sank in Batam waters on Wednesday (11/2) morning.
Riau Islands Police chief Sam Budugusdian said at least two crew members survived the accident. One man was detained on Thursday (11/3). The other man is still in hiding.
"We detained one crew member," he told reporters.
The boat capsized during a journey from Malaysia to Indonesia. It carried Indonesian migrant workers.
At least 18 people were killed in the accident. Meanwhile, more than 40 are still missing.
