medcom.id, Jakarta: Government prepares Rp160 trillion budget for development in Papua region this year. The decision was made in the meeting led by Coordinating Minister of Politics, Laws and Security Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

The meeting was attended among others by Minister of National Development Planning Sofyan Djalil, Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Marwan Jafar, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti, Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi.
Separately, Sofyan Djalil explained that the government will implement new approach in Papua which is integrated thematic approach.
"We need new approach including approach to ancestral domain,," Sofyan stated.
