The Uniqueness of President Cup Wooden Trophy

medcom.id, Jakarta: Persib Bandung managed to bring home the trophy of 2015 President Cup. The unique idea is that the trophy was not made from gold as most trophies, but from Teakwood.
 
Ida Bagus Ketut Lasem was the artist from Kemenuh Village, Gianyar Regency, Bali, trusted of making the trophy for the champion of the President Cup. For a month, he had been working on the trophy.
 
As quoted from Antara, Ida mentioned the difficulties of making the trophy. During the work process, the main obstacle he faced was to make proportionally a trophy form of 60 centimeters, with the height of 15 kilograms and 25 centimeter width.

Ida initially formed the teakwood lug material from Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. The form was adjusted to the picture of the mainframe prepared by the committee as his client.
 
The President Cup was decorated with Balinese craftwork, using 'Bebaturan' and 'Simbar'. Bebaturan was represented as a foundation to firm the construction, as the Simbar was meant to be the leaf providing life.
 
Regent Gianyar Agung Bharata gave an appreciation for the artwork made by Gianyar artist. He hoped that it established Gianyar as the regency of art and culture, which always give birth to superior artists recognized nationally and internationally.
