medcom.id, Jakarta: Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama praised by Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, Kishore Mahbubani. Ahok is considered resembling former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew in his youth.
"You're lucky that you have governor like Ahok. He seems to remind me on the likes of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew when he was young," mentioned Kishore when visiting City Hall, Jakarta, Wednesday (2/24/2016).
He mentioned that Ahok is a type of leader who has good vision. He is also good at planning and implementation.
"He wants to complete something he plans. It is what Lee Kuan Yew did, and I see this in Ahok," he stated.
Ahok welcomes students and lecturers from Singapore who will hold research on public policies and city planning in Jakarta.
"We, along with them, exchange ideas, propose interesting ideas to build a city like Singapore. So we do not need to conduct any comparative studies, whereas they are coming to us," mentioned Ahok.
