medcom.id, Jakarta: The National Police will cooperate with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to investigate political actors behind the November 4 protest.
"We will do it soon," said the National Police's Crime Investigation Unit chief Comr. Gen. Ari Dono Sukamto in Jakarta on Tuesday (11/8).
Reports emerged that the protesters received funding from political actors. However, the protesters strongly denied the allegation.
"That is baseless accusation," Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) spokesman Ismail Yusanto told Metrotvnews.
A number of Islamic organizations protested against Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) last week. They demanded the police to charge Ahok for religious blasphemy.
