Jakarta: Gramedia Writers and Readers Forum (GWRF) is coming back this year. GWRF 2019 will be held at the National Library, Jalan South Medan Merdeka, Cental Jakarta from August 2 until August 4.
This year's event will raise the issues of diversity. As many as 45 book authors and professional lecturers will share their experience.
Some of them are Sapardi Djoko Darmono, Rintik Sendu, Fiersa Besari, Ayu and Ditto, Maman Suherman, Sindhunata, A. Fuadi, Faza Meonk and Ayu Utami.
“As a literacy advocate, I want to be unifier of this country. I have been working in the writing industry. Independence is an endless source of inspiration. This country must stay united not separated,” said Maman Suherman when interviewed at The National Library, Jakarta.
Besides promoting well known authors, GWRF 2019 will also include Editor Clinic, Movie Review, Book Bazaar, music performances, as well as Gramedia Short Movie Awards.
In Movie Talk session, Abimana Aryastya, one of Gundala Putra petir actors, will talk about his new movie. He will be accompanied by Imansyah Lubis from Bumilangit Studios. This Movie Talk session will be held on the second day of GWRF 2019.
The opening ceremony of GWRF 2019 will be attended by Vice President, Jusuf Kalla and Indonesian Literacy Ambassador, Najwa Shihab. (Translator: Rifqi Akbar)
