Jakarta : Indonesian actor Vino G Bastian has received the second dose of covid-19 vaccine.
Nevertheless, today, he is determined to not go on a vacation as he feels that it's still unsafe.
"Not yet, we're still monitoring our condition. This is because the vaccine does not immediately warranty people not getting contracted. The government will suffer if we only think about vacation," Vino said in Jakarta.
He is still following the new normal lifestyle and implementing the health protocols with discipline.
"We are not yet safe from covid-19, so don't be quick to celebrate, vaccine can only do so much, going forward we have to heighten our vigilance. Jakarta’s cases are rising, right?" he said.
He believes that vaccine does not immediately ensure our complete freedom from the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, especially with tourist attractions being fully packed with visitors., even though him and his family would really want to go on a vacation.
“Those who have received the vaccine should not be overconfident that they're immune from covid-19, this is because the vaccine does not guarantee that you wouldn't contract covid-19," he stressed. (Translator: Natasha Celia)
