Jokowi-Amin to Hold United White Concert in Jakarta

Palembang: Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin pair's National Campaign Team (TKN) confirmed to be holding a United White Concert on Apr 13 at the Gelora Bung Karno sports stadium, Jakarta, on the election campaign period's final day.
 
"We have tweaked the strategy by getting the public and volunteers involved to forge sound cooperation," Erick Thohir, the TKN chairman, stated here on Tuesday.
 
Thohir has praised the people's involvement in the open campaign rallies held nationwide by the Jokowi-Amin TKN in the course of the past several days.

"We have viewed it as a positive trend. The United White Concert is aimed at ensuring that Advanced Indonesia (the campaign slogan of Jakowi-Amin) successfully resonates with the masses, Hence, we will hold it at Gelora Bung Karno," Thohir stated.
 
Thohir pointed out that currently, the TKN was pleasantly surprised by the scale of support that has continued to pour in, including through the support movement by alumni.
 
The country's largest sports stadium, Gelora Bung Karno, as the choice of venue to hold the concert by the TKN, aims to accommodate all keen on being part of the event.
 
Well-known artists and figures from different regions are expected to take part in the concert.
 
"The campaign rallies held during the course of the last two days are testament to the fact that the masses have truly been able to mobilize themselves, and actualization is the need of the hour," he remarked.
 
Indonesia will organize simultaneous legislative and presidential elections on April 17, 2019, across its 34 provinces.
 
Incumbent President Jokowi and opponent Prabowo Subianto are set to re-visit history by facing off yet again in the elections. 
 
According to the latest Roy Morgan Poll on the Indonesian Presidency conducted in February 2019 with 1,101 Indonesian electors aged 17 or more, the incumbent is still on track for a clear victory at the upcoming presidential election. 
 
According to the opinion poll, the incumbent had the support of 57 percent of Indonesian electors in February, down 1 percent from January.
 
On the other hand, opposition leader Prabowo Subianto had the support of 43 percent of Indonesian voters in February, up 1 percent compared to the previous month. (Antara)
