Jakarta: Indonesian singer and musician Glenn Fredly passed away at the age of 44 in Jakarta on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
"Glenn passed away around 18.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) at Setia Mitra Hospital. He had meningitis. I got the information from the management team," musician Kadri Muhammad told Medcom.id here on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
"I contacted him for the last time on March 8. He did not attend the National Music Day event at M Bloc," he explained.
His death was first reported by Billboard Indonesia. The information was received from singer Tompi, another Glenn Fredly's colleague.
Glenn Fredly is one of the most influential musicians in the country. He was born in Jakarta on September 30, 1975.
