"Pick sport according to your age. For people over 30, competitive sports such as football and basketball can cause some concern," said cardiologist Dr. Bambang Budi Siswanto at Metro Plus Program in Metro TV, recently.
According to him, swimming is the best sport for people over 30. The sport has lots of positive effects to the body and very low risk of injury.
Bambang also explained the importance of knowing your health history. The risk of heart disease is high when someone has hypertension, high cholesterol, or having family members with heart disease history.
"The normal blood pressure is 60-70. If it is over 100 before exercise, it is better to cancel the exercise," he concluded.
