Aquaplaning Problem on Wet Road

Ekawan Raharja • 30 April 2016 21:54
medcom.id, Jakarta: Driving during or after the rain needs extra concentration. Several problems could emerge including aquaplaning.

Aquaplanning happens because of tyre wear whih makes the tyre cannot remove water between the wheel and the road quickly.

"The result is the tyre losing its grip of the road," explained PT Goodyear Indonesia Sales Trainig M, Andry Adam, to Metrotvnews.com.

Aquaplaning could also happen when a car moves in a high speed during heavy rain. The tyre could be lifted from the road surface.

"If you experience aquaplaning effect, reduce your speed and maintain your control of your car. Don't brake suddenly as it is dangerous," said Andry.
