These are several causes of insomnia:
 
1. Illness
various health problems could generate severe pain.

2. Neurological diseases.
Alzheimer, Parkinson and stroke could trigger insomnia.
 
3. Medication
Several medicines could cause insomnia.
 
4. Depression
Most depression patients suffer sleep disorders. 
 
5. Bad eating habits
Do not consume caffeine at least six hours before sleeping.
