medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian designer, Denny Wirawan, represented Indonesian couture during the Fashion Gallery at the New York Fashion Week (FGNYFW).
In the event, Denny introduced collection of Batik Kudus, which is part of the Balijava ethnic line.
15 attires were presented in front of fashion enthusiasts at Hotel Affinia Manhattan's ballroom, New York, Monday, February 15, 2016.
FGNYFW is part of the New York Fashion Week which is one of the references for the global fashion world.
The Fashion Gallery is a stage for talented designers with their ready to use clothing line (prêt-à-porter). The concept is aligned with Denny Wirawan's focus on Padma-themed Batik Kudus collection.
Denny's batik collection uses darker color, such as the blue navy, green olive, beige and black so it could be suited for fall and winter season.
The style is ready-to-wear deluxe comprising of top, outer layer, long skirts long coats, long pants, cape as well as layered gown.
The collection uses diamond-shaped motif, beras kecer and geometric boxes combined with Lotus flower motif.
