medcom.id, Bogor: Air pressure in a tyre is often neglected by car owners. It actually has important role in maintaining the tyre's durability.
Over inflation may cause tension to the rim. The tyre may explode or loose its grip. In the other since, under inflation may shorten the tyre's age.
"80 percent of tyre damage is caused by incorrect air pressure. It can be too high, or too low," said PT Goodyear Indonesia's sales training manager in Bogor, recently.
"Always make sure that your vehicle's tyre pressure has been according to the manual. Usually, it is stamped on the driver-side door," he concluded.
