Cancer Patients Should Avoid Certain Foods after Therapy

medcom.id, Jakarta: Cancer survivors must closely monitor their eating habits. There are some foods that can increase the risk of cancer.
 
"There are two types of foods. Some foods are risk factors, while other foods are protective factors," said oncologist dr. Fiastuti Witjaksono, Sp.GK in Jakarta recently.
 
Fiastuti took grilled foods as example. Grilled foods may contain nitrosamine which can cause cancer.

It is also advised to avoid foods with preservatives and foods cooked with overused cooking oil.
 
Furthermore, cancer survivors should consume vegetables and fruits to prevent new cancer cells.
