medcom.id, Jakarta: Texcraft 2016 fair that will be held on March 16-20, is expected to promote Indonesian handicrafts to local, regional and international markets.
The fair is held by the Yogyakarta branch of National Handicraft Board (Dakernas) in cooperation with several ministries. Foreign consulates and embassies are invited to the event.
The fair, which will be held in Jakarta, focuses in introducing batik to the world as batik is popular product of Yogyakarta.
"The fair will present three types of batik namely written, stamped and printed," mentioned Indah Rahayu, the deputy chairman of Dakernas Yogyakarta, in the Launching of Texcraft 2016, Monday (1/11/2016).
The fair will not only display batik from Yogyakarta. It will also promotes batik from other regions such as Pekalongan and Solo.
the fair will include several activities such as fashion shows, traditional music performances, product demonstrations and hijab and make up classes.
