medcom.id, Tangerang: Joko Anwar is named as the Best Director of Indonesian Film Festival (Festival Film Indonesia/FFI) 2015 through his film, Copy of My Mind.
Joko eliminated four other nominees, which are Angga Dwimas Sasongko (Filosofi Kopi), Benny Setiawan (Toba Dreams) and Eddy Cahyono (Siti), Ismail Basbeth (Mencari Hilal).
"I never step on, just this once. Thank you to my two producers, CJ Entertainment. Thank you to all casts, some lend their camera, some brought cake, said prayers, also some gave money," said Joko in the victory speech in ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, Monday (11/23/2015).
Copy of My Mind not only won a category, but also taking home the trophy from the category of Best Female Leading Role (Tara Basro) as well as Best Sound Arranger (Khikmawan Santosa).
Joko Anwar's other project this year is to direct a mini series titled Halfworlds to be aired in HBO, by the end of November.
