medcom.id, Jakarta: Karina Salim's acting career is not as smooth as it is seen. When met in Central Jakarta area, Sunday (4/3/2016), the 24-year old admitted she was at first underestimated by several film directors.
"Yes, I was underestimated and compared with greater names. At that time, I was still young, not 'selling' enough," she memorised.
Not only that, Karina even failed several times in taking roles in the films. "I was about to make a deal, but cancelled," she added.
However, she did not give in. Luckily, she was accompanied by supportive people.
"My manager and mother are the ones supporting me. They always say, don't give up. Behind every failures, what we achieve will be greater," said Karina to end the conversation.
Karina started her career in the entertainment world through the Onrop! Musical created by director Joko Anwar in 2010.
