medcom.id, Jakarta: Permata Bank conducted Wealth Wisdom Study in four major cities in Indonesia. The survey found 80.6 percent of respondents believe happiness cannot be measured by material possessions.
Most respondents said the source of happiness are family, life purpose and health.
"Indonesians are people that acknowledge the importance of family. In Indonesia, most people spend a lot of time with their families. More than five hours a day during the weekdays," said Permata Bank's retail banking director Bianto Surodjo in Jakarta recently.
"Health is also important thing for Indonesians. They try to have enough sleep, enough eat and regular exercise," Bianto continued.
Bianto added there are difference between real happiness and temporary pleasure. "Pleasure can be acquired easily but happiness is combination of many aspects," he concluded.
