medcom.id, Jakarta: A proud achievement was earned by Andika Rama Maulana (18), who became one of Indonesia's representatives in the Nissan GT Academy Group Asia. Andika managed to be the second fasted in a race taking place at the Silverstone circuit, England, on August 20.
The youth fought against 29 people from five Asian countries, Japan, India, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia, each sending three representatives. It is actually Indonesia's first time in competing within the race seeding event from a racing game.
"While I was there, I learnt a lot about the ethics and driving skills as a race. So aside from racing, I have also got lots of knowledge there," he stated recently.
Budi Nur Mukmin as the Marketing GM of PT Nissan Motor Indonesia, stated a profound happiness for the Indonesian Nissan team. "Despite the young age of Indonesian participants, they have incredible potential. They have proven this by their achievements in the Silverstone Circuit," he deliberated.
Andika managed to complete the race at the second place with 0.288 seconds fromJose Gerard Policarpio (the Philippines), who finished first and established himself as the champion of the Nissan GT Academy 2015.
Even though having to be satisfied with the second place, Andika Rama succeeded in establishing himself as the final race competitor with the fastest lap, 1 minute 18.023 seconds.
