medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia has entered the rainy season. It is advised to maintain a good distance between vehicles during rain.
Driving consultant Marcell Kurniawan said a driver should stay at least three seconds behind vehicle directly in front of the driver's vehicle. It is known as three second rule.
However, tire grip is reduced during rain. Therefore, extra distance is necessary.
"Add one or two seconds during rain," Marcell told Metrotvnews.com recently.
Three second rule can be applied by observing a static point on the street. After the vehicle in front passes the point, your vehicle should pass the same point no less than three seconds later.
