medcom.id, Jakarta: Breakfast is important activity for children in the morning. Nutritionist, Mury Kuswari, explained the body loses 60 percent of energy after sleeping all night.
"The body loses 1,200 calories," she mentioned when met at a health education event in Jakarta recently.
Speaking of good breakfast, what kind of menu should be prepared?
"The best one is a complete-healthy meal with a lot of fruits and vegetables," answered Mury.
Mury explained that sometimes parents are afraid to give their children a full breakfast. "Children will be too full if they are given more carbohydrates than fruits and vegetables. Lack of oxygen also make them sleepy. Therefore, do not forget to drink," she concluded.
