medcom.id, Jakarta: The member of the House of Representatives, Anang Hermansyah, urged the Ministry of Education and Culture to establish film schools in all around Indonesia.
Anang argued the success of Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2 shows Indonesian film industry has big potential.
"My dream is we have successful filmmakers other than Riri Riza (AADC 2's director) and Mira Lesmana (AADC 2's producer)," said Anang in a written statement, Monday (5/9/2016).
The PAN politician stated the government must use the success of AADC 2 as momentum to boost national film industry. "The government should not delay regulations that support film industry," he added.
Moreover, he also urged the government to immediately implement box office system in Indonesia. "The system may resolve problems in the industry such as tax transparency, and royalties for filmmakers," he concluded.
