medcom.id, Jakarta: Water is extremely important in life, as it is the source of human life and all other living beings. Water, which was considered to be renewable resources, is currently becoming critical, as clean water has become a rare product, especially in secluded areas.

Therefore, Jakarta Biennale 2015 carries water as one of its topic. Starting from the water pollution, water usage and also various environmental issues linking with water.

"Water is our daily needs, and the issue is not limited at one point, but also at various locations," mentioned Anwar 'Jimpe' Rachman, a young curator of Jakarta Biennale 2015, when interviews at Sarinah Warehouse, Jakarta.

“Water is also an environmental issue, as the livelihood of the people is related to water. So water affects the life of many people," continued Jimpe.

The presence of water also affects the environment, starting from the needs of showering to consumption. The importance of water consumption is more important, beyond food consumption.

“Water is also a source of life, everyone needs water to live. Even people can die faster by not drinking than not eating," mentioned Jimpe.

Jakarta Biennale 2015 brought the theme of "Maju Kena, Mundur Kena: Bertindak Sekarang!"

The 16th exhibition will run from November 15, 2015 to January 17, 2016, at Gudang Sarinah, Jalan Pancoran Timur II No. 4, South Jakarta.
