medcom.id, Jakarta: The annual film festival, Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) 2015, is to be held on September 24 to 30, at the Cinemaxx, Lippo Mall Kuta, Bali.
As many as 105 films from 26 countries are offered. Indonesia has given the contribution of 26 films, five of them are long movies such as About A Woman, Marmut Merah Jambu, 3, Cakra Buana, and Bidadari Terakhir.
Balinale 2015 took the theme of 'Face of Diversity'. Several films brought up represented the uniqueness of culture, regions and daily people's lives.
"This year is the ninth event of Balinale. There are 26 Indonesian films. Film 3 and Cakra Buana will be premiered in Balinale," explained the Director of Balinale, Debora, in a press conference in Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/15/2015).
Various films earning world class awards have also been listed in the Balinale catalog, including Gueros, the winner of Berlin Film Festival 2014 on the category of Best First Feature Award.
One of the interesting documentary films in the festival is the Warsaw Uprising. The Polish film brought the facts happening in Warsaw during the World War II, within August to October 1944.
