medcom.id, Jakarta: Joey Alexander has arrived in Jakarta on Monday, May 16. He will hold his first concert in Indonesia on May 22.
The Grammy Award nominee will collaborate with legendary Jazz drummer Jeff Watts and contrabass player Dan Chmielinski. He will play Freedom Jazz Dance and other songs in the concert.
300 Indonesian child musicians are invited to the concert. The talent of Joey Alexander has inspired many child musicians in the country.
Before the concert, a pre-event titled Jazz Gathering-Road to joey Alexander Live in Concert will be held on May 19. Nine Indonesian young pianists will perform in the event.
The nine pianists are Edwin Putro Mulyono (Semarang), Yongki Vincent (Jakarta), Andi Gomez (Jakarta), Christ Stanley Kainama (Bandung), Ivan Alidiyan (Jakarta), Marthin Siahaan (Surabaya), Kevin Suwandhi (Bali), Noah Revevalin (Jakarta), dan Irsa Destiwi (Jakarta).
