Anindya Kusuma Putri to Wear Costume Weighs at 27 Kg in Miss Universe 2015

medcom.id, Jakarta: Puteri Indonesia 2015 Anindya Kusuma Putri is to display the national costume of Indonesia in the Miss Universe 2015 feat to be held in Las Vegas, USA. Uniquely, the costume designed by Dynand Fariz, along with the Jember Fashion Carnival team, weighs around 27 kilograms, with the theme of "Mythical Eyes on Barong".
 
"In Balinese mythology, Barong is a God of spirit and symbol of goodness. The national costume is the interpretation of the Balinese traditional art exhibit is very famous," mentioned Anin in a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday evening, November 25.
 
The designer also explained the philosophy of the costume. Dynand thinks that although made with an extravagant nuance, the costume is still characterized by Balinese culture. There is a message to be conveyed from the Barong eyes on the costume.

"Eyes are the window of the soul. Whether it is used for good or bad, it depends on the owner of the eyes. The eyes can also be seen to see the past, and also the future. May all the good things in the future be achieved because of the willingness to learn from past mistakes," elaborated Dynand.
 
Aside from that, Anin will also bring several attires made of traditional cloths to the Miss Universe 2015 beauty pageant. One of them is made of Tapis clothing from Lampung, which was made into a set of blazer and trousers. The costume is names as "Mak Kow Tanding", which means unbeatable.
 
By wearing this costume, Anin is hoped to step forward as a Princess with power, brilliance and beauty without comparison.
 
Moreover, the girl who still studies at the Diponegoro University, Semarang, will also wear a night gown made by local designer Anaz Khairunnas, themed as "Shining Irian". The clothing is inspired from the wealth of Irian land, containing gold and various precious metal.
 
Anindya Kusuma Putri is planned to be in Las Vegas for 21 days. Therefore, the woman who is also good in playing bass had prepared at least 25 costumes.
