"The total number of foreign tourists visiting Riau Islands had most likely reached 2.8 million last year. This is owing to the hard work put in by every stakeholder, including those engaged in the tourism industry, military and police personnel, as well as the people of Riau Islands," he remarked here on Monday, January 13, 2020.
He urged to diversify tourism activities, including by organizing sports tourism activities, to attract more visitors to the province. He revealed that the provincial government is currently developing Penyengat Island as an attractive tourist destination.
