Jakarta: Indonesia participated once more in the largest tourism exhibition held in Austria, Ferien Messe. Held last week, Indonesia presented Jaipong Dance and carnival costume at the Indonesian Pavilion.

Along with the tumpeng cutting ceremony, serving of Aceh Gayo coffee and Temanggung coffee, it was a success in attracting the visitors' interest and praise.

“There was quite a significant increase in the number of Austrian visiting Indonesia in the past years, about 9 percent. said Witjaksono Adji, Charge D'affaires ad interim of the Indonesian Embassy in Vienna in a written statement issued on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

"We believe that there is a big potential to increase more. At the moment, our focus is to promote the five tourism destinations that are the government priority in 2020: Toba Lake, Borobudur Temple, Labuan Bajo, Mandalika, and Likupang," he added.

Indonesia always participates in the Ferien Messe since several years ago. This year's exhibition attracted at least 150 thousand visitors, with 800 exhibitors from 80 countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with related parties including the Ministry of Tourism, will always promote Indonesia tourist attractions to attract foreign visitors in various opportunities.
