Sixteen hotels, seven facilities, the Peninsula Island, and the ITDC Office in the area managed by the state-run developer and operator of tourism destinations in Indonesia have implemented a quick response (QR) code for the PeduliLindungi application that is required to be scanned by each visitor.
"As a form of our support for the government's efforts to suppress the spread of COVID-19 cases in public spaces, The Nusa Dua has utilized the PeduliLindungi application to complement the implementation of health protocols in the area," managing director of The Nusa Dua, I Gusti Ngurah Ardita, said here on Friday.

Through the use of the PeduliLindungi application for screening, the presence of tourism workers and visitors in The Nusa Dua area can be monitored properly to avoid crowds and virus transmission, he said.
"The Nusa Dua area has been using the PeduliLindungi application since last July and we will ensure the use of this application can be applied consistently," he remarked.
Tenants at The Nusa Dua have already been provided two QR codes -- one for checking-in and checking-out, Ardita informed.
Visitors who scan the check-in QR code are automatically registered as temporary residents at the location visited till the time they leave the location and scan the check-out QR code, he said.
With the check-in and check-out system in the PeduliLindungi application, visitor data can be stored completely on a web-based dashboard owned by each tenant for easy tracking, he added.
"If later there are indications of COVID-19 cases, other visitors who are at the same location will automatically be counted as people under surveillance (ODP) or part of tracing, so they can get further treatment," Ardita explained.
He said he hopes that the use of the PeduliLindungi application and various other mitigation efforts will be able to make The Nusa Dua a COVID-19-free tourism destination that is safe and comfortable for visitors so it can support the recovery of Bali tourism.
