Sri Yanti Nainggolan • 16 October 2019 12:31
Jakarta: Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that Kampung Akuarium, North Jakarta, will be developed into a tourist attraction.

The former education minister explained that the concept will be designed by local residents without external influence.

“The grand design will be formulated by local residents without external influence,” he said here on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.

It will be built in accordance with public interests. This will serve as a symbolic role model for other densely populated areas.

“As soon as the design is finished, we will tell you the details contained on the design,” he said.

Kampung Akuarium has the status of cultural heritage, which means that it has the potential to be a tourist cultural attraction.

“It is one of the oldest places in the capital city of Jakarta,” he added. (Translator: Muhammad Gestinev)
