Jakarta: Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has officially started “Professional Competency-Based Online Training MICE Sector (Heading to Competency Certification)” to improve the capacity of practitioners in MICE industry based on Indonesia National Working Competency Standards (SKKNI).
For the first period, the training will be lasted from May 14-15, 2020.
According to the Ministry's Deputy of Tourism Products and Events Rizki Handayani, this activity is one of the efforts of the Ministry in preparing superior human resources by improving the capacity of MICE industry professionals in Indonesia in the New Normal era.
“This is the first time in the history that professional competency-based training in meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions or MICE has been conducted online and has a national scope,” Rizki said in a press release on Wednesday.
“Through this training, it is expected to increase the capacity of the Indonesian MICE industry practitioners who are globally competitive and prepare themselves as the practitioners of MICE industry in the new normal era,” she continued.
After the cluster event of venue management, the online training will continue for other clusters, namely event logistics, marketing communication events, registration events, liaison officer events, destination bidding, and stand building.
“Hopefully this training can run successfully and provide great benefit to participants who are practitioners of Indonesian MICE industry,” she said.
