Govt Committed to Developing 5 Super Priority Tourist Destinations

Jakarta: The Ministry of Tourim will conduct the third national coordination meeting (Rakornas) to discuss about the development of 5 super priority destinations.
 
Those five super priority destinations are Lake Toba, Borobudur, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, and Likupang.
 
The third Rakornas will be held on 10-11 September 2019 in Swissotel Jakarta PIK Avenue, Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta. 

The forum will be attended by several ministries and institutions such as Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Ministry of Transportation, National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS), and Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF).
 
“There will be several things to discuss, from the integration of support by the ministries and institutions on the development of super priority destinations to how is the strategy of acceleration is going to be executed. There are also Quick Wins 2019 program and the development plan of super priority destinations for Year 2020 to be discussed,” the ministry's website quoted Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya as saying.
 
To this day, the Ministry of Tourism along with related institutions are executing the instructions from President Jokowi "Jokowi" Widodo regarding the development of five super priority destinations mentioned. Some achievements from the progress are the complete establishment of The Kaldera - Toba Nomadic Escape on the Authority Zone of Toba Samosir Regency where Groundbreaking Glamping will also be conducted in mid-October 2019.
 
Meanwhile, to push the tourism development in Borobudur, the ministry has built Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in Kulon Progo. By October 2019, this airport has served 66 flights with the airport capacity of 3 million passengers.
 
As for the Mandalika destination, the topographic measurement and construction process for the construction of the Moto GP Circuit will begin in October 2019 and is targeted for completion by 2020. The achievement can also be seen in Labuan Bajo destination, which has now reached the stage of finalizing the construction of hotels, marinas, commercial areas and ferry port.
 
Meanwhile, in October 2019, the government is targeting the acceleration of the stipulation of the Government Regulation (PP) concerning the SEZ Tourism Likupang.
