AirAsia Cancels Flights to Wuhan

Sepang: AirAsia flights has canceled all flights from Kota Kinabalu, Bangkok and Phuket to Wuhan-China until January 28, 2020. This decision is based on the Chinese Government's announcement of the spread of the coronavirus.
 
Quoting the official statement on AirAsia's official website on Friday, January 24, 2020, AirAsia ensuresfthat passenger safety is the priority of the airlin. AirAsia complied with advice and regulations from global and local health authorities, including the World Health Organization (WHO).
 
AirAsia passengers residing in Wuhan are advised to comply with announcements made by the government and health authorities. AirAsia provides several options for passengers who want to change travel plans to or from Wuhan:

1. Reorder to other Chinese airports for flights to Kota Kinabalu, Bangkok and Phuket at no additional charge, subject to seat availability. Valid for all flights until 29 February 2020.
 
2. Refunds or exchanges of vouchers via AirAsia BIG Loyalty accounts can be made for bookings within 90 calendar days from the date of issue for travel with AirAsia. Valid for all flights until 29 February 2020.
 
3. Passengers can get their money back in the amount equivalent to their bookings if the flights are canceled. Valid for all flights until 15 February 2020 and will return to normal from 16-29 February 2020.
 
Passengers whose flights belong to this date range can get a full refund in the amount equivalent to the booking in the original form of payment. Refund requests can be made with AVA at support.airasia.com.
 
From the main menu categories available, click 'Refund' then 'New Refund Request' and finally 'AirAsia AirAsia to / from Wuhan'. From there, just follow the instructions as directed by AVA. 
 
For bookings made through travel agents including online travel agents, refund requests must be made through the respective travel agents.
