Jakarta: The Indonesian Festival was held on October 25-27, 2019 at Elizabeth Quay, The Esplanade, Perth, Western Australia. This activity was organized by Indonesian communities and community organizations living in Western Australia and supported by the Indonesian Consulate General in Perth.
The Indonesian Festival was the largest Indonesian tourism, cultural, product and culinary promotion event in Western Australia. This festival was held in the context of 70 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Australia.
The purpose of this event was to facilitate business contacts between tourism businesses and festival visitors so that the target of 468,339 Western Australian tourists in 2019 can be achieved.
In addition , this event was also intended to increase bilateral trade and investment cooperation, strengthen people-to-people relations, and promote the arts, culture and culinary of Indonesia to the people of Western Australia.
"Ministry of Tourism's support for the festival was through the Business Forum on October 24, 2019," the ministry said in a written statement released on Wed nesday, October 30, 2019.
Participants at the Ministry of Tourism's booth are the Lembata Tourism Agency, the Gorontalo Tourism Agency, the Banda Aceh Tourism Agency, the Aceh Tourism Agency, the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Tourism Agency, AirAsia, Mojo Surf, Real Indonesia, and NTB Sellers (Grand Legi, Aruna Senggigi, A&T Holidays, Cocotinos Resort Sekotong, Living Asia Resort & Spa, Novotel Lombok, Rensia Villa Gili Air and Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort).
