medcom.id, Jakarta: Nihiwatu Resort in Sumba Island, West Nusa Tenggara was recently named as the world's best hotel by Travel + Leisure travel magazine.
Nihiwatu was unique resort which blends luxury with local culture and exotic nature.
"It is a good example of ecotourism. Moreover, Nihiwatu employs local people," said Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya at his office, on Monday (7/18/2016).
The resort offers several ecotourism activities such as tracking to waterfalls and paddy fields. It urges its guests to enjoy nature without harming it.
The guests also can visit popular surf spot called Occy's left or experience daily life in local villages.
