medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia Outdoor Festival (Indofest) will be held again, with 10 outdoor communities, slated for April 6-10, 2016, in Istora Senayan Jakarta.
The festival, also supported by the Tourism Ministry and Jakarta administration, is again inviting all outdoor groups, backpackers, mount climbers, rafters, cave explorers, natural conservationists and researchers, bikers, crossers, off roaders, to the natural photographers as its main market.
"The needs for healthier lifestyle, holiday variations and developments of hobbies and perspective on outdoor activities also contribute to the huge market of outdoor activities businesses in the archipelago," said Disyon Toba, head of the committee from COS Event, in a written statement received by Metrotvnews.com.
"We present a variation of exhibitors from outdoor equipment producers, outdoor activities providers, up to domestic and foreign tourism destinations," he added.
The huge festival also invites the general public unaware of outdoor activities, or those wanting to know more about the natural activities in Indonesia.
Last year, Indofest was attended by 40,000 people. The committee has targeted 75,000 this year, where several discounts are offered to attract them.
Indofest 2016 will also host events such as talkshows, coaching clinics, community activities demo in the form of slackline, trail bike, hammock festival and many others.
"Therefore, we hope the outdoor activists may continue to increase. There are no limitations of age, because the most important thing is to stay healthy and active," said Eva Fitri Yeni, the Event Coordinator of COS Event.
There are various selections of local brands in the exhibition, among others Avtech, Consina, Cozmeed, Eiger, REI and more.
The famous international brands are also prepared to meet the visitors, among others Suunto, Osprey, the North Face, Victorinox, Garmin dan Petzl.
"In total, there are around 120 brands participating this time. Last year's participants have also take part," said Eva.
