medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian Weekend festival is going to be held in London, the United Kingdom (UK) on May 28-29. It will feature various Indonesian cultures.
It will be held at Potters Fields Park near the iconic Tower Bridge. More than 100 participants will take part in the event.
Indonesian Weekend is initiated by Endang Nurdin, an Indonesian citizen who lives in London. "We would like to cooperate with the government to boost tourism promotion by introducing Indonesian cultures," Endang said during press conference in the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Tuesday (5/17/2016).
"Hopefully this event can help promote Indonesian tourism to the world," she added.
The government plans to attract 20 million tourists Indonesia this year. Indonesian Weekend is supported by several ministries including the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of cooperatives and small-medium enterprises as well as the Ministry of Education and Culture.
