5 Correct Ways to Wash Vegetables

medcom.id, Jakarta: It is important to wash vegetables before you consume it as it may still contain dirt or even pesticides.
 
Here are correct ways to wash certain vegetables:
 
1. Broccoli and Cauliflower

Broccoli and cauliflower are quite difficult to be cleaned. Soak the vegetables in a bowl of cold water for two minutes and then rinse it with clean water.
 
2. Avocado
 
Even though the avocado skin is not edible, bacteria in the skin may contaminate your knife. It is better to wash the skin before you cut the fruit.
 

3. Bell pepper
 
You should wear gloves when washing bell pepper. The vegetable has thick wax-xoated skin. Soak the pepper in cold water and then rub it.
 
4. Mushroom
 
Water is not enough to clean mushroom. Use brush to clean the dirt on the mushroom.
 
5. Carrot and potato
 
Soak potato and carrot in cold water for several minutes, then brush with clean brush.
