medcom.id, Denpasar: As a painter, Don Antonio Blanco is famous in being a women lover. It is represented by his artworks, neatly exhibited at The Blanco Renaissance Museum, or commonly known as the Museum of Don Antonio Blanco.

"The inspiration for my father's painting is women. It is none other due to his utter respect for his mother. My father is conceived in his mother's womb for 11 months, and my grandmother gave birth in the bathroom," said Mario Blanco, son of Antonio when met by Metrotvnews.com.

At around 150 artworks are neatly kept at the Don Antonio Blanco Museum. Almost all of the artworks take form as females, many not wearing any clothes.

"There are lots of them looking at my father's work as porn. Nonetheless, porn is in the mind, on on a painting. My father's painting is purely art," added Mario.

Don Antonio Blanco Museum is located in Jalan Panestanan, Ubud, Bali. Upon entrance, we are welcomed by the picture of the maestro, attached aligned with the entrance door.

"Antonio Blanco is a best friend of the King of Ubud. He had promised the king to promote Bali. It is none other than his Bali soul, as he had lived here (Bali) for 47 years," explained Mario.

Antonio is also one of the best friends of the first Indonesian President Soekarno. There is a painting dedicated specially for the President, but was not given.

"That is why it is named 'The Never Delivered Painting (Lukisan yang Tak Pernah Tersampaikan).  The one painted was Bung Karno's girlfriend, who was very pretty. She was a dancer, now she is 65 years old and still pretty," he explained.

Antonio Blanco found Ubud as a source of inspiration after exploring various regions in the world. Until his end of age in Bali, he was remembered for his deeds in introducing Ubud to the international world through his work.

Don Antonio Blanco Museum was officiated by the Indonesian government in 2000. Not only operating as the center of art, the museum, which had received various awards, is also a conservatory for endangered birds.
